The seizure of lands threatens to destroy the dying dynasty
Plot
When the huge Lawson cattle ranch is left without an heir, rival gangs in Australia see a chance to take control. The series was filmed in the Northern Territory and South Australia, in places so remote that they are almost uninhabited, let alone shown on the screen. Sites include Kakadu National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site (by special permission from the traditional owners), and Tipperary Station, a working cattle station so large that it has its own airfield and school.
Yes, it will be compared to Yellowstone
Yes, there are the same plots, conflicts and bizarre characters. Yes, you can point to many similar problems. In my opinion, the two main problems are things that only happen because they have to move the plot forward.
Plots that do not make sense
The head of the family simply decides the issue of succession without weighing the pros and cons of each option. Secondly, these are holes in the plot that exist for the same reasons as to move the plot forward. It is assumed that the station will be the size of Belgium, but it is managed by a family (initially 4 people, later they became a little more) and, apparently, a small crew.
Tensions build, conflicts deepen, passions flare
But, of course, greedy corporations ask to take it away. I still didn’t like how everything was developing. and then everything is resolved (sort of) within half an hour.
Cinematography is good, nature is magnificent
But it’s a good show if you don’t pay attention to it.
